Gaetano Angrisano, 31 years old, known for his criminal fame, has been arrested in Scampia after being on the run for a year and a half.
His criminal notoriety was linked to a significant relationship, being the brother-in-law of Salvatore Petriccione, also known as o’ marenar, a prominent figure in the Camorra of Secondigliano. When Petriccione, the head and founder of the Vanella Grassi, ended up in prison, Angrisano took command of the group.
His headquarters were located between Lotto G and Malaga, where he was arrested in 2021. He had to serve a 10-year sentence for criminal association aimed at drug trafficking, a sentence resulting from a raid in 2014 that led to the imprisonment of the leaders of the clan that grew under the Di Lauro clan first and then the splinter groups.
The sentence was later overturned by the Supreme Court, allowing Angrisano to be released, but he was then reconvicted by the Court of Appeals of Naples in February of last year. He subsequently went into hiding, staying not too far from his neighborhood, where he probably enjoyed protection.
Captured while attending his son’s birthday party
The carabinieri followed his tracks through technical and traditional investigations. Every investigative element suggested that he was not far from his neighborhood. Last night, more than 250 carabinieri surrounded Lotto G, where the party for the fugitive’s son’s second birthday was taking place, preventing any entry or exit.
The houses in the “blocks of buildings” were searched, and Angrisano was located. The 31-year-old is now detained in the Secondigliano prison, becoming the 15th fugitive captured this year by the carabinieri.
