Arzano. Amara Epiphany for the traders of Arzano: the wave of thefts does not stop. Last night, the BM fuel distributor on Corso D’Amato was attacked.
The Anti-Mafia Committee for Legality, led by the Bishop of Naples, Don Domenico Battaglia, former PD parliamentarians Paolo Siani and Sandro Rutolo, have directly invested the Prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari, after the unstoppable criminal resurgence that is gripping Arzano. The Prefect has already started and scheduled a table on Public Order and Security after yet another break-in.
After the second break-in within a few days at the “Eugenio Caffè” bar, tonight it was the turn of the distributor on Corso D’Amato where the thieves, after tearing down the shutter of the office, took away everything that was inside.
A dramatic situation despite the unfortunate reassurances of Mayor Vincenza Aruta, who during her end-of-year speech, had highlighted the unfoundedness of the crime alarm, branding the episodes as “physiological” and “petty” crimes.
It is an endless escalation of thefts and nighttime raids among traders.
Just a few days ago, it was the turn of the “Vi.Mi.” bar on Via Volpicelli. The thieves first broke the windows with a car as a battering ram and then broke into the bar, taking away about 7,000 euros worth of loot. Just a few hours before the latest theft, the windows of a shop on Via Pecchia were also broken.
An unrelenting escalation that has already targeted the “HotDog” sandwich shop on Via Sette Re, the Leopollo and Mister Chicken pizzerias, the “Eugenio Caffè” bar, and the “Luan” clothing store on Via Sette Re. A singular and serious sequence of thefts that may hide aspects related to the 167 clan.
