San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, 15-year-old stopped on a stolen Honda Sh scooter: “I found it and decided to take a ride”
Around 10 pm yesterday, Monday, July 31, 2023, the Carabinieri of the San Sebastiano al Vesuvio section, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Naples, stopped a 15-year-old minor in Piazza della Repubblica, in the heart of the town, riding a Honda Sh scooter. After quick checks, the military confirmed that the motorcycle had been stolen on July 27, 2023 in Ercolano. As reported by Ansa, the two-wheeler did not have keys and the electrical wires were clearly visible from the dashboard, obviously tampered with to start the scooter. However, the police did not expect the surprising response from the boy to the routine questions about where he had found the stolen goods.

When the Carabinieri asked the boy the first routine questions, especially about where he had taken that scooter without keys and tampered with, the answer received was surprising: “I found it like that on the street, and I decided to take a ride.” Inevitably, the minor was reported, accused of receiving stolen goods, and was entrusted to his mother pending trial. The Honda Sh was instead returned to its rightful owner.
